It’s a Wrap – Bully n Beef Wrap

It’s a wrap. It’s a treat! Jones Natural Chews has amended the name of one of their newer treats, and the one we’re currently giving away. The Bully n Beef has become the Bully n Beef Wrap. Flash and Patches were kind enough to sample them for me. That’s just the kind of dogs they are.

Patches no longer immediately takes a Windee, which is the more obvious ingredient in this two ingredient treat. The other is the Bully Stick. She hesitates, being 15 years old and her jaws not being what they once were. So she takes the Bully n Beef Wrap from me, but then drops it. Thirty seconds later she realizes her mistake, when Chewy tries to swoop in on her treat, and scoops it up. Thirty seconds after that I could hear her crunching away on it.

Will All Dogs Eat a Bully n Beef Wrap?

Obviously all dogs won’t eat every treat. Dogs have their favorites. And I do my best to match the treat to the dog, which is easy enough to do with Jones Natural Chews, since we have so much variety, and they’re pretty much all meat and bones. Dogs can’t resist them. But the Bully n Beef Wrap is high in glucosamine and chondroitin, so I usually recommend it for older dogs, or dogs prone to hip dysplasia and other joint issues.

Jones makes their Windees in a variety of sizes, meaning there’s one for every dog, but the Bully n Beef Wrap is created with the three inch Windee. It’s ideal for small to medium size dogs, as well as some large dogs. But ancient dogs? Flash is 15 and slowly succumbing to dementia. He knows he wants the treat. He knows he likes the Bully n Beef Wrap. But he seems to be unsure of how to eat it, poor dear.

So my Flash carries his Bully n Beef Wrap, or his Windee, around in his mouth for an hour or more. He drools after awhile, since he can’t close his mouth. Seriously, he refuses to put it down, but eventually he gets thirsty (from all the drooling), and sets it down somewhere. Eventually I find Chewy or Gadget hiding with it, gnawing away. So yes, most dogs will take a Bully n Beef Wrap, but not all dogs will eat it. But they want to. Oh, they want to.
